Not only is Mariska Hargitay not leaving "Law & Order: SVU," but she will soon be joined by Harry Connick Jr., NBC entertainment chairman Bon Greenblatt announced Friday.
Greenblatt said Connick's prosecutor would be a potential love interest for Hargitay's character. He will appear for a multi-episode arc.
A scene shown to critics included their characters negotiating over going for a drink after work.
Connick and Hargitay spoke to the TV Critics Association for its winter press tour in Pasadena, Calif., via satellite from New York. Watch their message:
