New five-year exclusive output deal covers films released theatrically by the mini-major from 2013-17
HBO and Summit have inked a five-year exclusive output deal, giving the pay TV channel the rights to carry upcoming films such as "Pompeii" and "Ender's Game."
The agreement covers Summit films released theatrically from January 2013 through the end of 2017 — which means HBO won't get rights to "The Twilight Saga," which wraps up in a final chapter that's scheduled for release in November 2012.
Summit currently pay TV output deal with Showtime.
