The actresses sign on for potential series regular roles on "Open"
Two more stars have joined "Glee" and "American Horror Story" co-creator Ryan Murphy and "Dexter" co-executive producer Lauren Gussis' pilot for HBO.
Jennifer Jason Leigh and Anna Torv have joined "Open" in potential series regular roles if the pilot is ordered to series, TheWrap has learned.
Torv and Leigh will play lesbian partners, Windsor and Holly, respectively. Windsor is a yoga instructor who despite being with Holly for a long time feels an attraction to Grace (who has yet to be cast). Meanwhile, Holly is greatly dedicated to her acting career.
Leigh's career has spanned three decades. Most recently, she recurred on ABC's "Revenge" and Showtime's "Weeds." Her movie credits include "The Machinist," "eXistenZ" and "Fast Times at Ridgemont High."
Torv comes on after playing Olivia on Fox's "Fringe."
As TheWrap first reported, Wes Bentley will play a lead role on the pilot. Scott Speedman also joined the project in June.
Written by Murphy and Gussis, the pilot project is executive produced by "Glee" and "American Horror Story's" Dante Di Loreto for Ryan Murphy Television and 20th Television's cable arm Fox 21 under Murphy's overall deal with the studio.
