Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Meghan McCain Series Get Premiere Dates

Other upcoming series from Particpant Media's Pivot cable network include "Jersey Strong" and "Little Mosque"

"Raising McCain," the "genre-busting docu-talk series" starring Meghan McCain, daughter of Sen. John McCain, will premiere Sept. 14 on Pivot, the new millennials-centric cable network from Participant Media, the company said Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Joseph Gordon-Levitt's television venture "hitRECord on TV!" — which will find the "Inception" star directing artists to create short films, live performances and other creative works, will premiere Jan. 18, 2014.

Pivot will launch on Aug. 1 with the new daily late-night talk show "Take Part Live," premiering at midnight.

Other premieres announced Wednesday by Pivot include "Jersey Strong," a modern-day take on "Romeo and Juliet" that debuts Sept. 14 at 10:30 p.m., and "Little Mosque," which "takes a satirical look at a Muslim community living in Canada who has rented the town’s Anglican church to start a local mosque" and bows on Aug. 5 at 7 p.m.
