"Boardwalk Empire" won the Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series on Sunday night, winning out over a field of competitors that included "Breaking Bad" and "The Good Wife."

The "Boardwalk Empire" cast picked up a SAG Award in the category previously, while Steve Buscemi, who plays lead character Enoch "Nucky" has snagged a SAG for Outstanding Performance in a Male Actor in a Drama Series. The HBO show has also picked up Golden Globe for best dramatic series.

"Breaking Bad" star Bryan Cranston's nomination in the Outstanding Performance by a Make Actor in a Drama Series this year marks the third year in a row that he's been up for the honor. He's also been twice nominated for a Golden Globe, and picked up an Emmy in 2008 for his portrayal of school teacher-turned-meth manufacturer Walter White in the AMC offering.

HBO's fantastical offering "Game of Thrones," which also picked up a nomination for Outstanding Performance by a Stunt Ensemble in a Television series this year, also scored a Golden Globe this year, when Peter Dinklage (who won an Emmy last year for his portrayal Tyrion Lannister) walked away with a Best Supporting Actor -- Series, Miniseries or Television Film trophy.

"The Good Wife" has been on a SAG streak the last couple of years, with the cast nominated in this category two years running and the series' star, Julianna Margulies, taking a win for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actress in a Drama Series in 2010 and 2011. The CBS series' Archie Panjabi won an Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series in 2010, a year that saw the show nominated in nine categories, while Margulies took a win in the Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series in 2011 and a Golden Globe in 2009.
