"We Are Miracles" will tape next month in Los Angeles for a fall premiere
Sarah Silverman is bringing her raunch-infused, irreverent brand of humor to HBO.
The "Sarah Silverman Program" comedian is preparing to headline her first special for the premium cable channel, the network said Monday. "Sarah Silverman" We Are Miracles" will tape in Los Angeles in May, with a premiere planned for the fall.
The special will be presented by HBO in association with Funny or Die.
Silverman wrote the special, and is among its executive producers, along with Heidi Herzon, Mike Farah, Anna Wenger, Betsy Koch and Amy Zvi.
Liam Lynch (who also directed Silverman's previous film "Jesus Is Magic") is directing and editing, as well as serving as a consulting producer.
Funny or Die and Black Gold Films are producing "We Are Miracles."
"Sarah Silverman is a fresh, fearless and utterly original comedy voice,” HBO programming president Michael Lombard enthused in a release Monday. “I'm thrilled that we can bring the humor of this unique talent to our viewers.”
