Turner Broadcasting announced a strategic partnership with Funny or Die in which the broadcasters' digital sales force will become the exclusive seller of advertising opportunities with the humor site.
TBS, TV's highest-rated comedy network on television, and Adult Swim will collaborate with Funny Or Die to boost the digital content provider's sales and help establish the three brands as multi-platform destinations for comedy.
Turner Broadcasting is taking a minority equity stake in Funny or Die, which was launched in 2007 by Will Ferrell, writer/director Adam McKay and writer Chris Henchy. Turner said its relationships with the top people and brands in entertainment would help Funny Or Die continue to grow.
