A rose might be a rose by any other name, but when it comes to the roses that Tyler Perry sent to Oprah Winfrey for her birthday, they also translate to a whole lot of pain.
Media mogul Winfrey -- who turned 59 on Tuesday -- revealed via her Twitter account that a bushel of roses sent to her as a b'day gift from Perry totally bowled her over. And left her laid up in bed for a day after she injured herself moving them.

"In bed with an ice pack most of today. Moved a bushel of roses sent by @tylerperry and sprained a back muscle," Winfrey tweeted on Thursday to Twitter pal Lonnell Williams, adding the hashtag #birthdaylove.
By later in the day, however, Winfrey appeared to be on the mend, and informed her 16 million-plus Twitter followers that she was on the path to wellness.

"Standing upright again after a day in bed with an ice pack," Winfrey wrote. "Sharing birthday cake with my Daughter Girls!"
Even so, a wave of guilt washed over "Madea" mogul Perry, who tweeted, "I feel so bad" with a link to a Facebook post that expanded on the situation.
"I like to send really large flower arrangements to people for whatever occasion. Well, I sent one to Oprah yesterday for her birthday," Perry wrote. "She strained her back picking it up. No joke! Feel better Oprah. Happy birthday. Sorry. :-( Next year I'm sending her one rose. :-)"
Probably a wise idea. Just make sure it's de-thorned.
