The A&E Network has picked up new original crime drama “Breakout Kings from “Prison Break” creators Matt Olmstead and Nick Santora.

Produced by Fox 21 and Chernin Entertainment, the hourlong show stars Laz Alonso (“Avatar,” “The Fast and the Furious”) and Domenick Lombardozzi (“The Wire,” “Entourage”) as U.S. Marshals who employ former fugitives … to catch fugitives.

A&E has ordered 13 one-hour episodes of “Breakout Kings,” which will go into production this fall in Toronto, and premiere on the network sometime in 2011.
