AMC has commissioned its next pilot, seting forth the Western "Hell on Wheels" from creators Joe and Tony Gayton ("Faster," "Uncommon Valor," "Bullotproof").
Produced in partnership with E1 Entertainment and Endemol USA, "Hell" focuses on the world surrounding the construction of the first transcontinental railroad.
The project was developed by Endemol.
AMC recently greenlit Frank Darabont's post-apocalyptic "The Walking Dead" to series.
"The Gaytons have created a high-octane world that pays homage to the script's namesake, and this show fits perfectly with our goal of creating premium television on basic cable."
