CBS has settled on name for its new Jerry Bruckheimer hospital-based drama.
The series formerly known as "Miami Trauma" will now go by the title of (drumroll, please)... "Miami Medical." The series continues to focus on top doctors trying to save lives.
CBS is no doubt hoping the new name will avoid any viewer confusion with "Trauma," the failed NBC medical drama currently on hiatus.
Still to be announced: A premiere date. The series could air as soon as January or possibly not until March. CBS plans to showcase the series at its TV Critics Assn. press tour nect month.
