Disney Doubles Down On 'Good Luck Charlie'

Disney Channel has ordered up a second season and an original movie of its series "Good Luck Charlie," a ratings success for the network since it premiered in April. 

The sitcom about a family going through growing pains following the birth of a new baby. was the No. 1 show on television for kids ages 6-11 and tweens aged 9-14 during the second quarter of 2010.

"Charlie" was created by Phil Baker and Drew Vaupen. The show is executive produced by Baker, Vaupen and Dan Staley. Geoff Rodkey will write the script for the "Good Luck Charlie" movie, which will have a holiday theme.
