Ed Harris to Play John McCain in HBO's 'Game Change'

Four-time Academy Award nominee Ed Harris has been tapped to play John McCain in the HBO film "Game Change," the network announced Wednesday

The film, which follows McCain's 2008 election bid, is based on John Heilemann and Mark Halperin's best-selling eponymous book.

Julianne Moore has been tapped to play Sarah Palin, the former Alaska Governor, who McCain selected as a running mate.

The film will be directed by Jay Roach and written by Danny Strong. Roach and Strong collaborated on the 2008 film "Recount," about the 2000 election.

Roach and Strong are also executive-producing, along with Playtone's Tom Hanks and Gary Goetzman.
