As Elton John finds out in Pepsi's new Super Bowl ad, sometimes it's not so good to be the king.

The "Rocket Man" singer stars as a royal pain who gets his comeuppance in the soft-drink spot, which also features "X Factor" winner Melanie Amaro and a cameo from everyone's favorite court jester, Flavor Flav.

In the ad -- dubbed "King's Court" -- John dons a crown and robe to play a king who's just slightly less acerbic than Simon Cowell when it comes to judging musical talent. Amaro wins his favor with her window-shattering take on Aretha Franklin's "Respect," but the chanteuse strikes a blow for the commoners when he deigns to reward her.

Amaro's presence in the video comes as part of her prize for her "X Factor" victory.

Check out the ad in the video.
