Exclusive: NBC's New Wave of Leno Promos

After months of teaser spots, NBC is finally ready to show us the funny in its campaign for Jay Leno's new 10 p.m. show.

 

The network Tuesday night unleashed a new wave of promos touting Leno's upcoming weeknight strip. Most previous ads have focused on the fact that Leno is moving to primetime (Jay driving a classic car with a license plate reminding viewers of his big move to 10) or on the need to bring comedy to the 10 p.m. hour.

 

Earlier this month, NBC even headed into movie theaters, unveiling an extended trailer that showed off the quirky side of Jay. But the latest spots simply show Leno doing what he does best: Writing jokes. They feature Leno in his writers room, testing out possible selections for his trademark "Headlines" segment.
