Forget the Emmys or the Golden Globes: "Glee" is getting a TV Land Award.
The Viacom-owned cable network has smartly decided to honor Fox's first-year phenom with its Future Classic Award, a little tribute designed to lure in younger viewers by recognizing shows still in production. Past honorees have included "Arrested Development" and "Desperate Housewives."
As for the old-school types getting awards, TV Land has chosen "Everybody Loves Raymond" for its Impact Award. Most of the surviving cast will reunite for the April 25 event (which comes one month after "Raymond" repeats join the TV Land lineup).
Cheryl Ladd and Jaclyn Smith will get the Pop Culture Award for their work on "Charlie's Angels," and will use the honor to recognize the late Farrah Fawcett. (Take that, Oscar producers.)
And legends Mel Brooks and Carl Reiner will be feted. With the Legend Award, natch.
It's the eighth go-round for the TV Land Awards.
