Linda Steiner will supervise all current shows and Michael Vogel will handle all development
Hasbro Studios is restructuring its operations, putting one executive in charge of development and another in charge of current programming, it announced Wednesday.
As part of the restructuring, the company promoted Michael Vogel to VP of development and switched Linda Steiner from senior VP, girls and preschool programming, to senior VP, current programming.
Vogel had been a creative executive who oversaw both development and current programming for boys and action programming.
Steiner oversaw both development and current programming for girls and preschool programming.
Under the restructuring, Vogel will be in charge of all development and Steiner will handle all current programming.
Additionally, the VP production, Kathy Page, will have an expanded team.
In a written statement, Hasbro Studios President Stephen Davis said, “With the rapid growth of Hasbro Studios and the increasing number of shows we have on The Hub, as well as airing in international markets, I am making these changes to both streamline the creative process and make our organization operate more efficiently.”
The Hub is a joint venture between Hasbro and Discovery Communications. Until Oct. 10, 2010, it was called Discovery Kids.
Vogel is former director of animated programming at Sony Pitures Entertainment. At The Hub, he has shepherded "Transformers Prime," "G.I. Joe Renegades" and other Hasbro brands.
Steiner is former senior VP creative affairs at Warner Bros. Animation, where she oversaw development and production of television shows including "The Batman," which won her an Emmy Award. She also has held senior positions at ABC Entertainment's children's entertainment division.
