With the pedigree for the horseracing drama "Luck"-- starring Dustin Hoffman, directed by Michael Mann, and produced by "Deadwood" creator David Milch -- HBO could have thrown up a video with nothing but the players' names and shots of some ponies.
Though the trailer (actually more of a teaser) the cable network debuted last night for the 2012 drama is brief, it promises a show about racing itself, training, gambling, and whatever led to Hoffman's character spending three years in prison.
