HBO announced on Friday that it will offer a special preview of the first episode of the much-anticipated "Game of Thrones" on April 3.
"Game of Thrones," based on George R.R. Martin's book series "A Song of Ice and Fire," will have its full debut on Sunday, April 17. The 10-episode series, which "chronicles an epic struggle for power set in a vast and violent fantasy kingdom," stars Mark Addy, Sean Bean, Emilia Clarke and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau.
Following its April 3 airing, the preview will be available on HBO.com and the recently expanded online platform HBO Go, and on HBO on Demand starting on April 8.
The April 3 airing will be at 9 p.m., prior to the third episode of the miniseries "Mildred Pierce" at 9:15.
