Jai Ho! NBC Heads to India for 'Outsourced'

It took a while, but NBC is finally ready to get "Outsourced."

The network today ordered a pilot for a TV version of the 2006 indie feature, with Ken Kwapis ("The Office") on board to direct. "Outsourced" was first given a script order back in fall 2007; since then, Robert Borden ("The Drew Carey Show") came on board to write.

Logline: An office comedy about a recently demoted manager of a novelties company who is shipped off to India to manage a rag tag group of customer service reps.

Logline: A former cop is set up as a criminal and must become "The Cape," a masked hero, to clear his name and reunite with his son.
