Jane Lynch's 'Vogue': Marketing Masterstroke (video)

For Chevy, sponsoring a sneak preview of "Glee"-- specifically, Jane Lynch's version of Madonna's "Vogue" -- could be considered the power of a good buy.

Fox premiered the elaborate video clip from next week's episode Tuesday. But rather than just airing the video, the network convinced Chevy to come on board as the sponsor -- not of an episode, but of a single three-minute clip.

Kinda genius, and yet another way networks are making sure the DVR generation doesn't miss out on advertiser messaging.

What's more, by airing the video this week -- in a spring premiere episode with tons of advance marketing behind it -- Fox essentially (and cleverly) turned "Glee's" return into a two-week event. Plus, it got Chevy to pay for the on-air promos.
