"Law & Order: Criminal Intent" has a new show runner for its tenth and final season: Chris Brancato will replace outgoing "Law & Order" vet Walon Green.

Brancato's writing credits include "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit," "The X-Files," and "Beverly Hills, 90210."

He inherits a show with a nice sense of closure: Jeff Goldblum is leaving after joining in 2009, but original cast members Vincent D'Onofrio and Kathryn Erbe are returning.

The final eight episodes will air on USA starting in April.
