Despite a significant drop from last week, ABC’s “Dancing With the Stars” once again drew the top-rated slot on Monday night, while NBC experienced a definite case of the Mondays with its worst ratings for the evening yet this season, according to preliminary numbers.

The “Dancing” performance show from 8 to 9:30 drew a 3.9 rating/11 share in the adults 18-49 demo, a nine percent decline from the previous week’s numbers, and 19.6 million total viewers. “Cougar Town” followed at 9:30, with a 2.3/6 in the demo and 8.4 million total viewers. The evening closed out for the network with a "20/20" special about the impending royal wedding, “William and Catherine: A Modern Fairy Tale,” which took a 1.4/7 in the demo and 7.6 million total viewers.

Fox took the second-highest ratings of the evening with an episode of “House” at 8, with a 3.2/9 in the demo -- flat with last week’s performance -- and 8.6 million total viewers. A two-hour episode of “The Chicago Code” followed at 9, garnering a 1.9/5 in the demo and 6.4 million total viewers.

Over at NBC, the bad news began at 8 with “Chuck,” which drew a 1.3/4 in the demo -- flat from last week, and also a tie for the series low -- and 4.2 million total viewers. The following hour found “The Event” also hitting a series low, with a 1.1/3 in the demo (down 15 percent from its most recent airing on April 4) and 3.7 million total viewers. The network completed its hat trick of series lows with “Law & Order: Los Angeles” at 10, which took a 1.1/3 in the demo (a 26 percent decline from the previous week) and 4.9 million total viewers.

CBS’s roster mostly spanned the spectrum from treading water to slipping slightly, with “How I Met Your Mother” at 8 p.m., down 7 percent in the ratings from its last original airing on April 11, with a 2.5/8 in the demo and 6.3 million total viewers. “Mad Love” at 8:30 was flat with last week’s series low, with a 1.9/5 in the demo and 5.5 million total viewers. A “Two and a Half Men” repeat at 9 drew a 2.0/5 in the demo and 7.3 million total viewers, while “Mike & Molly” at 9:30 took in a 2.5/6 in the demo -- flat with last week, and a tie for the series’ low -- and 9.7 million total viewers. “Hawaii: 5-0” at 10 was the network’s sole bright spot, posting a 4 percent gain from the previous week’s performance with a 2.6/7 in the demo and 10.9 million total viewers.
