Ratings: 'Glee' Returns to Top Slot, 'Food Revolution' Continues to Sputter

After four weeks without an original episode, Fox’s "Glee" returned to the airwaves to snag the evening’s highest ratings, and gave a big boost to the network’s "Traffic Light," according to preliminary numbers.

On a night the NBA playoffs drew viewers to ESPN, the new "Glee" began Fox’s primetime roster at 8, nabbing the top spot in the adults 18-49 demo with a 3.7 rating/11 share and 9.6 million total viewers. “Raising Hope” in the following hour took a 2.2/6 in the demo and 5.6 million total viewers, while the comedy “Traffic Light” at 10 jumped 55 percent in the demo with a 1.4/3 and 3.2 million total viewers.

On ABC, "Jamie Oliver’s Food Revolution" at 8 continued its slide with a 1.1/3 in the demo, a 21 percent drop from the previous week’s numbers, and 4.6 million total viewers. (It's second-season debut last week was down 36 percent in the ratings from the season one premiere.) Tuesday’s “Dancing With the Stars” results show at 9, meanwhile, had the second-highest ratings of the evening, with a 2.9/7 in the demo and 15.8 million total viewers. “Body of Proof” closed out the night at 10 with a 2.4/6 and 11.5 million total viewers.

NBC’s "The Biggest Loser: Couples" at 8 had an 11 percent drop compared to the previous week with a 2.3/6 in the demo and 6.5 million total viewers. At 10, a new episode of “Parenthood” had a 25 percent jump over last week’s ratings, with a 2.5/7 in the demo and 6.3 million total viewers.

CBS aired repeats of its “NCIS” franchise, with “NCIS” at 8 taking a 2.2/6 in the demo and 13.3 million total viewers, and back-to-back reruns of “NCIS: LA” at 9 and 10 drawing a 2.4/6 and 11.2 million, then a 2.0/5 and 8.9 million.
