Ratings: 'Amazing Race' Inches Up to Give CBS a Win

Hallmark special "Remember Sunday" rises sharply over January special

CBS's "The Amazing Race" ticked up in the ratings Sunday night, grabbing the night's top performance in the key demographic and helping to push the network to an overall win for the evening, according to preliminary numbers.

CBS took first place in the advertiser-sought 18-49 demo with a 1.8 rating/5 share and in total viewers with 9.6 million. "60 Minutes" at 7 p.m. was down 17 percent from last week with a 1.9/4 but was the night's most-watched show with 11.6 million total viewers. "The Amazing Race" the following hour climbed 4 percent to a 2.4/7 — the night's best performance in the demo — and took 9 million total viewers. "The Good Wife" at 9 dropped 12 percent for a 1.5/4 and had 8.9 million total viewers. "The Mentalist" the following hour grew 14 percent, taking a 1.6/4 and grabbing 8.9 million total viewers.

ABC took second place in ratings and total viewers with a 1.5/4 and 6.6 million. "America's Funniest Home Videos" at 7 was even with its last original episode four weeks ago, taking a 1.3/4 with 6.2 million total viewers. "Once Upon a Time" the following hour inched down to a 2.1/6 and drew 7.3 million total viewers. The special "Hallmark Hall of Fame: Remember Sunday" at 9 posted a 1.4/4 — up 27 percent from ABC's last Hallmark special in January — and took 6.9 million total viewers.

Fox was third in the demo and fourth in total viewers with a 1.4/4 and 3.2 million. Following a "Bob's Burgers" repeat at 7, "The Cleveland Show" at 7:30 was down 25 percent, posting a 0.9/3 and taking 2 million total viewers. A "Simpsons" repeat at 8 was followed by an original "Bob's Burgers," which ticked up to a 1.7/5 with 3.7 million total viewers. After a "Family Guy" repeat at 9, "American Dad" fell 14 percent to a 1.8/5 and had 3.9 million total viewers.

NBC was fourth in ratings and third in total viewers with a 1.2/3 and 4.1 million. The network aired a repeat of "The Voice" at 7, followed by "The Celebrity Apprentice" at 9, which dropped 11 percent for a 1.6/4 and drew 4.9 million total viewers.
