Ratings: CBS' Repeats Beat Rivals' New Stuff

Reruns gave CBS a primetime ratings win Monday night against lineups that included original shows on several rival network. ABC scored a close second place.

SECOND HELPINGS CBS’ all-repeat lineup included episodes of “How I Met Your Mother,” “Rules of Engagement,” “Two And a Half Men,” “Big Bang Theory” and “CSI: Miami.” The network won with an average 1.9 rating/6 share in the key adults 18-49 demographic from 8-11 p.m. “Big Bang Theory,” which scored a 2.6/7 from 9:30-10p.m. was the night’s highest-rated show.

CLOSE SHAVE ABC finished just a hair behind CBS Monday night with a 1.9/5 primetime average. ABC’s lineup included a pair of reality dating shows-- a two-hour episode of “Bachelor Pad” and an hour of “Dating in the Dark.” “Bachelor Pad” scored 2.0/6, up 5 percent form last week. NBC aired “Minute to Win It” and the “60th Annual Miss Universe Pageant.” Both shows combined to give NBC a 1.8/5 average, putting it just behind CBS and ABC in third place.

OUTFOXED Fox was on the bottom of the heap this week with a "House" rerun and a new episode of “Lie to Me,” “which posted a 1.7/5 average from 9-10 p.m., flat with last week. Overall, Fox averaged 1.4/4, giving it a fifth-place finish behind the other major broadcast networks and Spanish-language broadcaster Univision, which posted a 1.7/5.
