Ratings: U.S. Open, Miss USA Pageant Take Top Honors; Daytime Emmys Tumble

NBC won the ratings race on Sunday night thanks to the U.S. Open golf tournament and the 61st Annual Miss USA Pageant, according to preliminary numbers.

The network's primetime roster began at 7 p.m. with overrun from the Open, which garnered a 2.2 rating/9 share in the adults 18-49 demographic, tying for first in the ratings with Miss USA, with 9 million total viewers.

The links face-off continued into 7:30, sharing the slot with a "Minute to Win It" repeat; the half-hour received a 1.3/5 in the demo and 5.2 million total viewers. An "America's Got Talent" repeat filled the hour at 8 with a 1.1/4 in the demo and 4.5 million total viewers. The Miss USA pageant closed the night from 9 to 11, jumping 57 percent over last year's contest with a 2.2/6 in the demo and 7.2 million total viewers.

At CBS, the sole original programming of the night for the network, the 38th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards from 8 to 10 p.m., tumbled 27 percent from last year's telecast (which aired from 9 to 11), scoring a 0.8/3 in the demo and 5.4 million total viewers.

Fox ran repeats throughout the evening, as did ABC.
