Ratings: CBS Spins '$#*!' Into Gold, NBC Gets Lift With Live '30 Rock'

CBS won Thursday night as "S#*! My Dad Says" continued to roll and NBC got a much-needed boost with a live episode of "30 Rock."

-- CBS won Thursday with an average 3.3 rating/10 share in the key adults 18-49 demographic from 8-11 p.m.. "Big Bang Theory" was flat with last week at 4.1/13. All of CBS' other shows were up from last week. "$#*! My Dad Says" rose seven percent to 3.1/9. "C.S.I." was also at 3.1/9, up 15 percent from record low numbers last week. "The Mentalist" closed out the night with a 3.3/9, a ten percent bump from Oct. 7.

-- NBC finished in third place, but the network improved on last week's numbers with special live episodes of "30 Rock." Overall, NBC averaged a 2.4/7 in primetime. "Community" was up 22 percent at 2.2/7 with an "Apollo 13" parody that was a bit heavy on the Kentucky Fried Chicken product placement. "30 Rock" scored 3.0/9 with the live episode, a 43 percent jump from last week. NBC's other Thursday results were a mixed bag. "The Office" posted a 3.7/10, up six percent from last week. The new Indian workplace comedy "Outsourced" tied its low for the season with a 2.5/7. "The Apprentice" matched its lowest numbers ever for the third consecutive week with a 1.3/4.

-- ABC was Thursday's number two network with a 2.9/8 primetime average. "Grey's Anatomy" was the night's top show with a 4.5/12. "Private Practice" scored a strong 3.0/9. ABC also aired a repeat of "Grey's Anatomy" that posted a puny 1.1/3.

-- Fox finished last for the night with "Bones" and "Fringe," which were both down one tenth. "Bones" scored a 2.6/8 and "Fringe" brought in a 1.9/5.
