HBO premiered "Hung" and "Entourage" on Sunday night, but neither could hold a candle to the ratings numbers posted by "True Blood."

The second season premiere of "Hung" got 2.5 million viewers in its initial airing at 10 p.m. and another million for the 11 p.m. rebroadcast. "Hung" was down 12 percent from its series premiere last year; not a good sign for the sophomore show.

"Entourage" also got 2.5 million viewers for its seventh season premiere at 10:30 p.m. The 12:30 a.m. replay of "Entourage" brought in 588,000 viewers.

Neither of the season debuts did as well as the recent season three premiere of vampire series "True Blood," which got 5.1 million viewers on June 13. "True Blood" has been holding onto its audience since its premiere; the third episode of season three got 4.5 million viewers at 9 p.m. on Sunday and another 1.2 million viewers during its 11 p.m. replay.

None of these early ratings numbers factor in DVR and On Demand audiences, which tend to be high for HBO shows.
