On Sunday night, the supernatural vampire drama was watched by 4.7 million viewers, down just 8 percent from  its season 3 premiere on June 13. So far this season, "True Blood" has averaged 4.6 million viewers per episode.

"True Blood" is doing twice as well as HBO's other original series -- "Hung" and "Entourage." Both of those shows averaged about 2.6 million viewers Sunday night. "Entourage" and "Hung" were each up four percent from their season premieres June 29.

There's been a lot of good news for "True Blood" recently.

On Thursday, the show got an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Drama Series. And HBO announced that it was picking up another season of the show on June 21.

Season 4 of "True Blood" will air in summer 2011.
