According to Variety, comedienne Chelsea Handler will star in a new half-hour comedy on E! that will appear after "Chelsea Lately."
"After Lately," will take a look at the goings on backstage at Handler's late night show. Stories will be outlined, but dialogue will be largely improvised. E! ordered eight episodes of the series, which will be produced by Handler's Borderline Amazing Productions. Handler also extended her contract with the cable network through 2012.
