Excuses, excuses, eh, Rick Perry?
Texas governor and GOP presidential candidate Perry appeared on "Late Show With David Letterman" Thursday night, to do a little image rehab and poke fun at his gaffe at Tuesday night's debate in Michigan, when he experienced a brain-belch while trying to recall the names of the three government agencies that he'd vowed to shut down.

Perry made light of his own absentmindedness by rattling off the night's Top 10 list, "Top 10 Rick Perry Excuses."
Among the supposed reasons for his "oops" moment? "I thought the debate was tonight"; "Hey, I was up late last night watching 'Dancing With the Stars"; and "I wanted to help take the heat off my buddy Herman Cain."

Speaking of Cain -- who's been mired in allegations of sexual harassment this week -- Perry's fellow presidential hopeful will appear on Letterman's show Nov. 18.
