Discovery's Science Channel has greenlit a series with "Alien" and "Blade Runner" director Ridley Scott that will look at science fiction creators who anticipated future discoveries.
"Prophets of Science Fiction" will premiere in the second half of 2011, and will look at creative minds including Isaac Asimov, Gene Roddenberry and George Lucas.
The show is produced by Science Channel by Ridley and his brother Tony Scott. Bernadette McDaid will executive produce for Science Channel, and Mary Lisio will also executive produce.
