It turns out Charlie Sheen's endorsement isn't enough to guarantee Rob Lowe will replace him on "Two and a Half Men": The executive producer of Lowe's current show says he's under a "multi-year contract" and isn't going anywhere, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Speaking at a PaleyFest panel Monday, "Parks and Recreation" show runner Michael Schur said "there's no truth" to speculation that Lowe could leave the NBC comedy to replace Sheen -- including a New York Post report that Lowe was on a "Men" short list.

"It's going to be hard," Schur deadpanned, when moderator Michael Ausiello, of TVLine, jokingly asked how Lowe would balance appearing on both shows.

"The Internet lit a match and set itself on fire," Schur said.

Responding to the reports that Lowe was in the running, Sheen said Wednesday that he thought Lowe could succeed as his replacement. But Sheen's predictions about the show, like much of what he says, should be taken with seven-gram rocks of salt: He predicted his own return to CBS' "Men" on Friday, just three days before he was fired.

Lowe did not attend Wednesday's panel because he was visiting colleges with his children, Schur said.
