Syfy on Thursday announced it's greenlighting three reality series: "Marcel’s Quantum Kitchen," "Paranormal Witness" and "Face Off" (all working titles).

In its statement, Syfy said it aims to build on the success of unscripted programming such as "Ghost Hunters" and "Destination Truth," which air Wednesdays. It's also debuting a Thursday night reality Marcel Vigneronblock on July 15, featuring "Mary Knows Best" and "Fact or Faked: Paranormal Files."

"Marcel’s Quantum Kitchen" stars molecular gastronomist Marcel Vigneron of "Top Chef" (left). In each episode, Marcel and his new catering company will be hired by a demanding client to produce an extraordinary event. He will create a theme and cuisine for the event, ranging range from a fairytale graduation party to a dinner held on a platform suspended in mid-air. It's executive produced by Kevin Dill and Mechelle Collins and produced by Intuitive Entertainment.

"Paranormal Witness" comes from the creative team behind "Locked Up Abroad," Dimitri Doganis and Bart Layton, and Raw TV. The drama-documentary series brings to life the stories of people who have lived through paranormal experiences that defy explanation; from poltergeists to alien encounters.

"Face Off," is a competition/elimination series exploring the world of special effects make-up artists. The show will incorporate effects make-up, prosthetics, 3-D design, animatronics, sculpting, eye enhancers, puppeteering, casting and molding. It's a production of Mission Control Media, with executive producers Michael Agbabian and Dwight Smith.
