Susan Solano Vila was promoted to executive VP, marketing for Telemundo Communications Group, and Susan Popper was named to succeed her as VP, marketing.
In her new role, Solano Vila will be responsible for the full range of marketing activities across the Telemundo broadcast network and its cable network mun2. She will oversee strategies to drive consumer awareness, audience engagement and ratings, and serve as liaison to all marketing divisions of NBC Universal, Telemundo's parent company.
Solano Vila is a 19-year veteran of Telemundo and prior to that was a media planner at Campbell Ewald.
In her new role, Popper will oversee off-air marketing, digital marketing strategy, licensing and merchandising and East Coast marketing initiatives. She has been with Telemundo since 2007 and prior to that worked in marketing at DHL.
