"Memphis Beat" has made it to season two, with TNT announcing the renewal of the Jason Lee series on Thursday.

The re-up, which features a 10-episode order, comes a day after TNT committed to another go-around of medical drama "Hawthorne." The network has also renewed "The Closer," "Rizzoli & Isles" and "Leverage" in recent weeks.

Starring Lee alongside Alfre Woodard and DJ Qualls, "Memphis Beat" premiered in June and averaged 4.7 million viewers over its summer run, finishing first in its core demo of adults 25-54 for its Tuesday-evening slot.

Starring Lee as a cop who moonlights as an Elvis impersonator, "Memphis Beat" is produced by George Clooney and Grant Heslov's Smokehouse Pictures and Warner Horizon Television.
