E!’s late-night loudmouth, Chelsea Handler, celebrated her No. 1 status on the New York Times Best Seller list with a party at Bar 210/Plush on Wednesday night. Her late-night colleague Jay Leno (pictured with the author at left, courtesy of Jason Merritt) made a rare midweek social appearance, joining Leah Remini, Jennifer Love Hewitt and Kevin Nealon after pulling up to the Beverly Hilton on one of his motorcycles.
Handler’s hardcover, “Chelsea Chelsea Bang Bang,” follows up her previous entry “Are You There Vodka? It’s Me, Chelsea,” justifying Belvedere vodka for picking up the tab for the St. Patrick’s Day soiree.
Over the weekend, Randy Jackson, Chris Tucker and David Foster answered the bell for boxing champ Muhammad Ali’s annual Celebrity Fight Night in Phoenix. The annual gala raises money for Ali’s local Parkinson's Institute.
A trio of star-struck guests forked over $900,000 for dinner with Reba McEntire at her home in Beverly Hills, while a double date with both Billy Crystal and Robin Williams commanded a surprisingly low fraction of McEntire’s haul – “only” $300,000.
Producer Jerry Weintraub (the “Karate Kid” remake, “Ocean's Eleven” and sequels) and race car driver Danica Patrick took home awards at the JW Marriott on the one night each year when Hollywood goes to Phoenix. Meanwhile, the cast from FX’s “Sons of Anarchy” shook the money tree by shaving their heads. Theo Rossi (“Juice”) monetized his mohawk for the children’s cancer organization, St. Baldrick’s Foundation. At the annual head-shaving fundraiser, co-stars Ron Perlman and Dayton Callie (“The Chief”) (pictured at left with Rossi, courtesy of Poshok Photography) joined Katey Sagal and Jerry Ferrara at the Happy Ending Bar & Restaurant in Hollywood.
