Fox could be ready to greenlight a new contender for its Sunday animation block.

Network entertainment boss Kevin Reilly Thursday said the network is close to picking up "Bob's Burgers," a half-hour from  "King of the Hill" writer Jim Dauterive and "Dr. Katz's"  Loren Bouchard. It's from 20th Century Fox TV.

Reilly said the creators will put together "a few more scripts" in the next few months. A decision on a greenlight could come shortly thereafter.

In other animation news, Reilly said he'd consider picking up Fox's options on first-run episodes of "Futurama," possible for use in a summer run. Comedy Central is currently first in line for the episodes.
