"Hell's Kitchen" producer A. Smith & Co. is developing an unscripted series built around a group of emergency workers who regularly travel to real-life hells on earth.

The company has signed a deal with Ted Skylar Agoglia of First Response Team of America, which heads to the sites of natural disasters to help surivivors. Agoglia was named one of CNN's "Heroes" in 2008.

A. Smith founders Arthur Smith and Kent Weed, along with Frank Sinton, will serve as executive producers of the project should it be bought by a network.

Agoglia said he hoped a series would prompt viewers to get involved in helping pitch in during times of crisis.

In addition to "Kitchen," A. Smith is also behind "Kitchen Nightmares," "Conspiracy Theory with Jesse Venture" and the gone-but-not-forgotten "I Survived A Japanese Game Show."
