Speaking of cable “news” wars, this one – at least given term limits -- has more staying power.

Last night on the “Daily Show,” Jon Stewart delivered a blistering, 11-minute, 33-second pounding on his favorite punching bag, CNN, and the network’s apparent lack of fact-checking.

Daily Show correspondent John Oliver put it another way.

“Perhaps if the facts of a story were scribbled inside the sexual organs of goats, CNN may have more of an interest in checking them.”
