Stephen Rea ("The Crying Game") has joined the cast of CBS' Tom Spezialy/Brett Ratner pilot "Chaos."
Rea will be CIA director Higgins in the 20th Century Fox TV-produced show, which focuses on a team of CIA operatives who cut through red tape.
Freddy Rodriguez was previously cast in the lead role of the project, which Ratner is directing.
The Irish-born Rea has never done a regular gig on American television, though he did guest star last year on "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit." Last year he appeared in a limited-run Irish TV series, "Father & Son."
