Apparently, today is doing the obvious day in cable.
Hot on the heels of Showtime's not at all unexpected announcement that "Californication" will be returning for another season, Bravo has countered with the "Ya think?" press release of the day:
"Top Chef" will be back for season seven.
Our lame snarkiness aside, Bravo said casting on the new cycle of its monster, Emmy-nominated hit will begin Oct. 18 in the foodie mecca of San Francisco. New episodes will premiere in 2010.
