Adam Scott is joining the cast of NBC sitcom "Parks and Recreation," which means he's leaving the cast of Starz sitcom "Party Down."
An NBC spokesperson confirmed that Scott will join the cast of "Parks and Rec" for the final two episodes of this season, and then return as a regular for the series' third season.
"Party Down" producer Rob Thomas told the New Jersey Star-Ledger's Alan Sepinwall that his cast signed one-year contracts for the first season. And, although the show hasn't been renewed yet, Thomas said there is an entire season filmed already, with Scott as the lead. He also said Scott will be allowed to do three guest spots on "Party Down."
"Parks and Recreation," meanwhile, seems to be revamping its cast somewhat, having added Rob Lowe earlier in the week.
