David Milch ("Deadwood") is trying his luck at HBO again, teaming with filmmaker Michael Mann ("Public Enemies") for a horse-racing drama.
"Luck," which has received a pilot order from HBO, is described as a provocative look at the world of horse racing and gambling told through a diverse group of racetrack denizens.
Milch wrote the project, with Mann on board to direct the pilot.
