MTV's 'Ridiculousness' Renewed for Season 4, 'Fantasy Factory' Gets 6th and Final Season


Rob Dyrdek gets mixed news on his series for the cable network

MTV has ordered a 22-episode fourth season of Rob Dyrdek's “Ridiculousnes,” as well as a 10-episode sixth and final season of “Fantasy Factory,” the cable network announced on Tuesday. Both are slated to return in 2014.

To celebrate the renewal news, the cast of “Fantasy Factory” will reunite on the “Ridiculousness” Season 3 finale on Thursday, Sept. 19 at 11/10c.

Executive produced and hosted by Dyrdek, viral video series “Ridiculousness” launched in 2011. It features celebrity guests and the best and most surprising videos from around the web. Chanel West Coast and Sterling “Steelo” Brim co-host. Season 3 has averaged a 1.6 rating among MTV's key demo, persons between the ages of 12 and 34, and 2 million viewers per episode.

“Fantasy Factory,” which debuted in 2009, takes place in Dyrdek's 25,000 square foot industrial-complex-turned-funhouse, in which the former pro skateboarder conducts business as well as brings his craziest ideas to life. It also stars Dyrdek's longtime friend Christopher “Big Black” Boykin, his cousins Chris “Drama” Pfaff and Scott “Big Cat” Pfaff, Chanel West Coast, and “Ridiculousness” co-host Sterling “Steelo” Brim along with celebrity guests.

Also executive produced by Dyrdek, the fifth season of “Fantasy Factory” averaged a 1.7 rating among its key demo and 1.7 million viewers per episode.

Both Dyrdek series have ranked No. 1 among MTV's key demo in their respective time periods.

    Fantasy factory should stay on with minor changes and should be shown less old episode but a few mixed episodes per week so the show does not get burned out not that u dont want to watch the show just u seen every great show like 5 or more times who wants to watch titanic 5 times? In a month? Ridiculousnes thats a funny ass show that should go up to 8 seasons but only if it can get super more funny!!!! They should cancel many othere mtv shows like hoker and jay wow or idk I never ever watched those people who got rich for been crazy??? Idk but mtv has to step it up and look at all its bad shows I love mtv not hating just giving it tuff love.its like for every good show they close they open 2 more copie cat shows that take up room for somthing great…………….peace out……..
