‘Twin Peaks’ Promo Reveals Returning Cast of Characters (Video)

David Lynch’s revival premieres on Showtime Sunday, May 21

Showtime has released a new promo for its “Twin Peaks” revival that finally reveals some of the characters who will be returning to David Lynch’s iconic mystery drama later this month.

The new promo features the returns of Big Ed Hurley (Everett McGill), Sarah Palmer (Grace Zabriskie), Deputy Andy Brennan (Harry Goaz), Deputy Tommy “Hawk” Hill (Michael Horse), and of course, FBI Special Agent Dale Cooper (Kyle MacLachlan).

The only new face to join the “Twin Peaks” vets in the promo is Harry Dean Stanton, who plays Carl Rodd.

The exact details of the new “Twin Peaks” have been a closely kept secret. During the Television Critics Association winter press tour in January, Lynch shared: “I see it as a film, and a film in parts is what people will experience. It was a joyful fantastic trip with this great crew and great cast.”

The Lynch-created series originally aired for two seasons on ABC from 1990 to 1991. It was announced in 2015 that the show would be making a comeback.

The 18-episode revival is written and produced by series creators and executive producers Lynch and Mark Frost, and is directed entirely by Lynch.

“Twin Peaks” returns on Showtime Sunday, May 21. The first two-parts of the miniseries will debut at the 70th Cannes Film Festival, which kicks off May 17.
