OWN’s scripted drama, “The Haves and the Have Nots” just scored a series high for viewership.

Tuesday’s episode of the Tyler Perry-produced primetime soap at 9 p.m. attracted 2.84 million total viewers. That’s slightly 2 percent higher than its Jan. 7 second season premiere, but an 11 percent increase over the previous week’s episode, the network announced on Thursday.

The latest episode also ranked No. 1 among OWN’s key demographic, Women 25-54, on cable in its time period and No. 3 for the night.

It’s the third ranked OWN airing for total viewers after “Oprah’s Next Chapter” with Bobbi Kristina in March 2012 and “Oprah’s Next Chapter” with Lance Armstrong from January 2013.

Executive-produced by Perry, the drama follows the complicated dynamic between the rich and powerful Cryer family and the hired help who work in their opulent Savannah, Georgia, mansion.

Perry’s suite of shows for OWN include comedies “Love Thy Neighbor” and “For Better of Worse.” The network just ordered new scripted series from the writer/producer called “Single Moms Club.”
