Tyler Perry’s ‘Haves and the Have Nots’ Scores Second Highest Rated Episode in OWN History

The fifth episode of Season 2 sets a series record with 3.4 million viewers

Tyler Perry‘s Tuesday night drama, “The Haves and the Have Nots,” was the most-watched episode in the OWN series’ short history, delivering 3.4 million total viewers.

The episode, the fifth of the current second season, ranked as the most-watched cable telecast of the night. It was also the highest-rated in the women 25-54 demographic, earning a 2.6.

“The Haves and the Have Nots” finished second in the demo across all of TV, behind only NBC’s “Biggest Loser” season finale.  The installment also marked the second-highest telecast in OWN history in both the demo and in total viewers. The network has been in existence since 2011.

“The Haves and the Have Nots” marked its third consecutive week of growth — up 16 percent vs. last week — in the demo. The Season 2 average is up 44 percent versus Season 1, and the Perry drama has been consistently besting itself as the second run continues.
