Universal Pictures has pushed the release of “Let It Snow” from Dec. 9, 2016, to Wednesday, Nov. 22, 2017, the studio announced Wednesday.
“Let It Snow” is based on the short story collection written by John Green (“The Fault in Our Stars”), Maureen Johnson (“13 Little Blue Envelopes”) and Lauren Myracle (“Internet Girls”).
Luke Snellin will direct the film, which will weave together three unexpected romances that take place over the course of one Christmas Eve.
Bluegrass Films’ Scott Stuber (“Ted”) and Dylan Clark (“Planet of the Apes“) will produce the holiday film, which was written by Kay Cannon (“Pitch Perfect”) and Scott Neustadter & Michael Weber (“The Spectacular Now”).
Right now, “Let It Snow” is slated to open against Disney-Pixar’s animated movie “Coco,” which is inspired by the Mexican holiday of Dia de los Muertos.
